Joint Replacement & Spine Team, W Pratiksha Super speciality Hospitals Delhi and Gurugram. “From Collaboration to Innovation”

At department of orthopaedic spine surgery, W Pratiksha hospital Delhi and Gurgaon, We perform more than 400  spine surgeries every year, nearly one third of which are performed on international patients who travel across the globe to get treatment from us. But this is not what we are actually proud of. We take pride in our work culture where love for patients is the common trait, teamwork is the rule and innovation is the habit.

For each and every case, the team of  experienced spine surgeons lead by Dr. Rajesh kumar Verma come together to discuss and devise the best treatment plan. The collective wisdom sitting over 70 years of clinical practice (combined together of 5 surgeons) diminishes chances of both misdiagnosis and mismanagement.

The Spine team comprises of Dr Rajesh Verma with experience of more than 14000 surgical procedures under his belt and serving people of Gurgaon and NCR for last 20 years , his surgical and clinical skills are superbly backed by trainings and fellowships received from premier institutes from South Korea , Germany and USA. He has special interests in degenerative disc disorders of cervical and lumbar spine with special focus on minimal invasive , endoscopic and motion preservation dynamic spine surgeries. Dr Monu Singh, another surgeon with similar years of experience, a national and international faculty specialising in arthroscopic and endoscopic Destandau technique, Dr Lalit Kumar Kain , highly educated from premier institutions like PGI Chandigarh and AIIMS New Delhi with special interests in Deformity corrections, Dr Sourabh Chachan, fellowship trained minimally invasive surgeon from Korea and Singapore with special interests and mastery in anterior/ lateral approach, Endoscopic spine surgery and Pain management interventions and Dr Mohit Arora, Gold medalist throughout his medical career, brilliant paediatric orthopod and highly skilled surgeon for problems related to children spine and tumours. Along with this our rehabilitation and physiotherapy team lead by Dr Jennifer and Dr Jaiprakash plays a tremendous role in faster road to recovery and best outcomes.

As we are a tertiary care center for spine pathologies, complex cases are routinely referred to us from both inland and international hospitals. For such complex cases, Formulating a sound treatment plan is only half the game won. Executing the plan many a times require out of box approaches and innovating thinking. Recently, we treated a  young lady from Haryana with huge presacral abscess. The challenge was her fear of Anaesthesia and her refusal to accept a large scar (that would be unavoidable if we use text book anterior/posterior approach). Our team researched, brainstormed and performed collection drainage via pre-sacral approach that too under mild sedation. A similar innovative attitude is being employed while dealing with revision spine surgeries where we use 3D navigation to navigate the scar tissues, which is unthought and undescribed till now.

All this is possible only because we love our patients like our families. The old age dictum of “do no harm” never stops us from “doing only the best” for all of our patients. Our vision is to make spine treatment safe, accessible, and affordable to all and needy. We have access to best equipment’s like RFD 3 D navigation, Latest NAV 3 i computer navigation, neuromonitor, Ultrasonic scalpel, Pentero Zeim microscope, Joimax and Wolf Richard endoscopic system and finest shaver and burr system to achieve these goals.

If you or anybody you know is living a life of disability because of spine disorders, we suggest you to reach out to us! We are available at Gurugram and New Delhi locations all 6 days of a week.
